I am not sold on Jackson's ability to make guys grown who just for whatever reason can't (Thompson, Brishen)
From a S&C standpoint, he hasnt had enough time yet.
Essentially, PJ had 8 weeks to train em when he got here, then we had spring (A 3 week period where you hope to just maintain or limit your losses), then he had a full summer. The short term results that we see are very solid. Guys already look better, especially the vets who have been with him since he got here in the winter. But to me thats half PJ doing a great job and half decker being a blockhead. Our guys were just that out of shape and weak.

he can transform bodies very well ( turn fat weight into muscle weight)
Again, he has gotten great short term results. It is exciting to think what he will be able to do with an entire macrocycle ( 4 stages of training consisting of preseason, in-season, postseason, and offseason.)
Proof is in the pudding and right now the pudding aint bad BUT, everyone loves a new strength coach and hates the old one. I wanna see what type of long term results we get. Having said that, PJ has the pedigree to be a great strength coach and learned from the Master himself - Tommy Moffitt.

but I have 100% faith that he can get Liggins in shape and down to a very playable 270lb
As do I. If Liggins is able to enroll in Janurary and PJ has that amount of time to work with him....he will turn JL into a full blown mutant.

I agree. Im saying I'm not "sold" simply because there hasn't been enough time. I'm excited to see where our players are this time next year once the training table is installed and PJ gets that full year. He won't have to get guys in shape to complete his workouts, he won't have to teach technique, and he'll have a full year of growth to get a good picture of where our program is heading.

Someone told me that Ward got cleared late afternoon yesterday. Can anyone confirm that? We need him on campus getting reps as soon as possible.

Temario Strong was. If Ward was too, we'd know about it by now.

Seems like he is definitely a risk to go but we'll see. Im sure itll depend on what kind of senior yr he has.

THIS
Kid only batted like .300 his jr year of HS and no HRS. However he has size and speed that scouts drool over and did good at a couple of showcases this summer.
He claims that football is his first love, we shall see. He could always do like Anthony Alford did and sign pro in baseball and still play college football.

So 5-Star OT Tunsil has just named Ole Miss as one of his OVs this Fall.

On Liggins:
Weight will always be an issue for him and a constant battle- but this kid is no Renardo Sidney. He is a freak athlete that should be a damn good football player.

Agreed. Our staff will have to stay on him about his eating and I have confidence they will, given he comes here. Who the hell knows what'll happen.

Liggins will probably hang around our practices, spend alot of time talking to our coaches and becoming close friends with our players while he gets his ACT score up then walk on at LSU or something stupid

Gonna be very interesting to watch DK and RB compete.
DK looks to be the better runner and when it is all said and done he will have started for 3 years in maybe the toughest division of HS football in the country. He also looks to be the exact fit for Freeze's system. He hits his intermediate routes with ease and has a quick release. Arm's gotta get stronger though imo.
RB has a bigger frame than DK and will probably grow another inch and fill out. He has very very good feet and a big arm from what I have seen - extremely polished passer. In the end, he may have the most upside at the next level.
