Really good coaching by Patty on that squeeze play. She played a hunch and was right. Bobby Cox would have done that. He loved the squeeze in similar situations.

Patty has not been on her full game. Trying steal in first likely cost us chance for a run. Leaving Gouch in after a homer another mistake. And not using more pinch hitters with batters in bad streaks.
Hope we hang on we lost late last game and now this. Huge implications for conf
Keep in mind I know nothing in comparison and Patty is the Goat. But I just point out some missteps imo that maybe due to our past she takes more chances.

Barker gets a weak hit between 1st and 2nd to get on. Good job, but she watched two pitches she could have driven much harder.

Pickering strikes out Dayton grounds out. We are killing all these free bases they give Wells and our hitting has hit a wall lately.

Agony in the 7th. Sooners have a third out call overturned on review. Barker boots a ball at 3rd and then makes a superb play to end it.
But Lowry bears down and the Sooners win a tight one, 4-3 and a share of the SEC title.
