Why oh why when we get leadoff on base do we try stealing when we have such power hitters afterwards? Has cost us so many runs this year

I'm not sure if that A&M catcher could have made the play, but she'd have a better chance if she flipped the mask off. I rarely see catchers do that in softball. Not sure why. Maybe these masks with helmets make it too hard.

They did it to get to Pickering. If we had a better batter after Wells they don’t do that most likely. She kills us even when not batting
