The high temperature in Oklahoma City today was 85 degrees. This is the coolest high temperature at OKC since June 24, 78 days ago.

This is actually really well done. He goes thru where the water comes in to Overholser and then to Hefner. Should see some this weekend.

I grew up around Hefner. When the water was coming in from Canton/Overholser, that channel on the west side of Hefner where it empties into the lake is a magnificent fishing spot...

Yes its really cool. Not sure if you’ve been back lately but that whole area north and west has grown like weeds. The new Super Walmart will open in Nov at Memorial/Rockwell. Paycom is still building. At that corner of Mem/Rockwell they have Chikfila/Tacocasa/Wafflehouse and a ton of other places recently opened.

The turnpike is all tore up from Rockwell down past NW Exp to Wilshire they are 3 laning it. Once done in Feb then they will move south and 3 lane all the way to I-40.

Memorial is being 3 laned from Rockwell to Council. At Mem westbound and Council they are adding a Cali Uturn over the turnpike. Then adding an eastbound on ramp at Council/Memorial.

They will add a full interchange at County Line road and turnpike as well. Extend Mem westbound from Council to CLR.

Its crazy how much growth is happening.

Have you eaten at RedRock Canyon Grill on east side of Hefner Lake? Great view of sunset, and food is good too.

Oh yeah, it's really good. I miss Bahama Mama's, that place was unique and also very good.

Every time I go up there, I realize how much I miss it. I've lived in Norman for 19 years but it never has truly felt like home. I graduated PCN in 1987. At that time, Deer Creek was a 4-way stop sign. Every time I go back to that area, it's just been completely transformed. Crazy. Mustang is going through a similar explosion now too.

Yup, they will need another outer loop to the current outer loop.

I knew a lady who went to the original PCN when it opened. She got to be a senior twice she said when it opened they only moved thru 11th grade and kept seniors at their old school. So she was in the oldest class for 2 years lol.

Paycom completely changed that whole area. I hate the new Walmart because that interchange will become another Penn/Memorial type traffic mess.

You will have this construction to look forward to in Norman/Moore for next several years

LOL the left side of that interchange is about 1.3 miles north of my house. Where Heyday and Alligators was. It will be nice once they finish it, that is if I haven't died of old age by then.

If turnpike does all work it will get done fast.

If state then it will take 30 years
