Lake Hefner dropped 1 foot in 6 days. Might need to bring some down from Canton soon. It takes about 3 weeks to arrive once released

It was muggy today in Northern OK and not much of a breeze. I guess it's good for losing or maintaining weight.

@okmesonet data for August 2026 confirms it was the warmest since August 2011 with an average high temperature of 101°F for OKC! It was also the driest with every single station below average, surpassing even 2011s rainfall deficit for the month

OKC we just had one of the hottest summers AND hottest Augusts on record

That was brutal. We are just over halfway this year and 2011 was miserable. I recall a reading of 100 at midnight that year

July 17th is the last time OKC had a high less than 90. This is forecasted at 89. Holy heatwave!!
