Some things that stick out to me:
1. With all of the conference realignments, this list contains 6 B10 schools, 5 SEC schools, and 4 ACC schools. Nothing from the Big 12.
2. You don't find Notre Dame or Texas or any Florida schools (Fla, FSU, Miami) on the list.

If tweet fails to load, click here. “He almost cost us the game cause’ he wasn’t ready! TEDDY WASN’T READY!!!”
This is possibly the funniest story / clip I’ve ever heard from BV
It’s definitely worth the 2 minutes if you have time. Venables shares his perspective of the player development journey - in my opinion this is the foundation of what makes BV such an elite coach for Oklahoma.
We could all learn something from this

This is interesting. Our run game was better. Granted it was UTEP, but our first game with new RB coach too

Week 2 PEAR. Only ranked top to bottom, spread out sideways so can read team names

Lets face it, we are just never going to get over the hump with BV deciding who to hire as OC. And we’ve just lost our way.
We were promised so much more. A great HC tells his OC to run the ball after what we all saw first 2 drives.
I just feel like its more of the same. Had enough time to fix. And its not a knee jerk reaction, we were up in Bama 17-0 and lost that game too. No more excuses, I’m tired of the same ole shite.
We have weapons but do not have an OC or QB and those are key to any team. And BV will do nothing. Just more of the same. As HC you must coach the team. Unfortunately thats not going to happen.

Think about this. Gibbs (23)has two more losses than BV (21) over two more seasons. Gibbs went 2-1 in bowl games. BV 0-4. Both had a losing record against Texas. Statistically, they're almost carbon copies. Just different eras!

I watched Kentucky have a better offense than us today. There are no guaranteed wins after New Mexico with this schedule.

I’m just sick because I really like BV the person and what he went through and overcame. He has a good culture too.
But we keep failing in offense. Need to make immediate changes or else season is gone. Hell, hire Cale Gundy. Or give it to Wilson who is an advisor. Assbuckle has not earned shite. No respect for him. It honestly looked like he was trying to give Mateer extra passes and runs to make him look good vs trying to use tools you have.
I have run out of patience. Gloves are off

I wondered too about flipping Arbuckle and Wilson. Our OL looked bad too and our WR's aren't getting space like other teams Ive watched today. This what year 4 we have been bad on offense.
What makes it worse is look how many years we were bad on Defense and now the script has flipped. There is no excuse in year 5 for us not being balanced by having a good offense and defense.

How many regrets do we have letting Michael Hawkins leave and keeping Mateer. Assbuckle cost us big time in so many ways.
For WVU thru 2 games:
Pass:
16/21 for 287 and 3 TDs and 0 Ints
Run
26/199 for 3 TDs
Damn, i had a bad feeling when he left.
And if we don’t get a real OC, we could lose many 27 recruits which is a great class.

Hawkins always looked mediocre for us who knows why he's thriving there.
Posted on 9/12/26 at 10:40 pm to OK Roughneck
He was playing for a shitty OC with a banged up oline and key players. Hawkins gave 100% effort. He loved OU but also realized Assbuckle would never give him a fair QB competition with is boy Mateer here. If memory serves he won a game for us last year?

So why did Hollywood Smoothers not work out here?
Posted on 9/13/26 at 11:57 am to Wishbone85
Because we have had idiots as OC the entire tenure of BV. When you don’t get run as a running back you move on.
Our 27 class is great but if we spiral this year we could see lots of offensive defections. Why come here as RB when we don’t run

Week 3 PEAR. I followed them during baseball and they were a smoother ranker compared to others. They never over or under moved OU even when we struggled. Seems they are still decently high on OU, time will tell.
I will add they are new to football and will have to keep tweaking formula so this can still be a fluke. We’ll see
