I've seen plenty of comments on other boards thinking that Porter should go. At the same time I've seen some comments stating that we are like 15 out of 16 in the SEC in NIL spending for basketball, which handcuffs any coach from keeping talented players from leaving the team.
I imagine that they will let him coach the final game against Texas first...
My guess is that the lack of a spring portal window is the reason that schools are having Spring games again this year. There is no chance of other teams scouting your reserve players with an offer to jump ship.
Jovante may not be our most talented runner, but he's tough and he knows what he is supposed to do. I wouldn't mind seeing him in there some.
You'd be hard pressed to find another team in college football with a tougher opening 2 game conference schedule. I guess that gives a great chance to make a statement!
Agreed. Missouri ended up being a lot harder of an opponent than I envisioned at the beginning of the year.
Of course a lot of other teams are probably saying the same thing about the Sooners!

I'm not sure who Paul Wadlington is, but this sure shows that he is scared of this year's Sooner team.
From that CollegeFootballData.com chart above, that was a pretty salty Auburn defense that we just played.
OU Guy, the defense played incredibly today, but the 14 TFL's on your stat sheet included the 10 sacks.
I saw that the Lousiana HS QB Peyton Houston committed to LSU today.
Can't say that I'm surprised. LSU generally locks down their state.

It's kind of hard to take his ratings seriously when he still has Texas ranked #1.
Yes, if you watched The Huddle on Monday night, Jim Nagy said that he doesn't pay any attention to depth charts.
We play 8 of the top 18 and 9 of the top 24. Whatever we do this year will be earned.
Can't help but notice that we play none of the predicted bottom 4 teams while for Texas that is half of their conference schedule!

After last year's experience, I think we have to add an additional caveat: as long as we don't have our top 4-5 players at a single position group injured for most of the year, this team should surprise everybody.
With 10 of the 16 conference members in the top 25, I think 9-9 in conference will easily get them into March Madness. 8-10 probably would, but based on past history, I wouldn't want to push it.
Still unbeaten! Unbelieveable finish. Sooners down 3 when Fears makes a 3-pointer while getting fouled and makes the FT for a 4-pt play with 11 seconds left. Sooners win by 1.
When you think about it, that is a pretty awesome home schedule. It is the first time at Owen Field for Michigan, Auburn, Ole Miss and LSU.
It seems rather unlikely that he went from not being able to play the whole season to "I'm 100%" in just 2 weeks. Either he is not really 100% but wants to appear that way to get better NIL offers or he was feeling better than he let on and didn't want to play or risk an injury the last few weeks of the season.
I see that 8 of the top 10 teams are SEC. That conference is loaded.
