Florida favored by -4 at open. Likely get blown out as we’ll trot out Mateer. Nothing more to cheer for with Mateer under center.

Just in case some Mateer/Arbuckle apologist tries to pimp final game stats, this was with just shy of 2 min mark left in 3rd qtr. it was backups after that mostly

I'm not sure their own family backs them at this point. "Honey, for the good of the family, please consider a career change."

Florida historically
Shits the bed a week after the Georgia game

Even in our 1996 and 2006 national title teams we played bad Vandy teams after Georgia and struggled to win.

I wouldn’t be surprised if ou found a way to win next week

Problem is fans have nothing to root for. Playoffs are gone. Bowl game in doubt.

But the biggest issue is Brent not trying another QB when game was blown out. No one has any faith in Mateer. Zero. And had they inserted either Newbauer or Bowe, at least fans could likely find something good.

No fan wants to watch Mateer. He is not changing no matter what. Had backup got some reps and even if they struggled - just one good throw would have been a light.

As is fans have not seen either backup so they can’t even be excited for next year. Just a small glimmer would keep them engaged.

Social media is just flat out livid. After Florida we get Ole Miss at home. And its gonna be empty seats ti start game for first time since Bob took over. Thats a long streak of sellouts about to be broken.

No one has any faith in Arbuckle. And everyone lost faith in Brent to make any offensive decisions. He’s a HC in name only but has not forced gameday changes to offense. And thats what fans want to see, try something to give them some hope he can be a HC and not a DC.

And BV has failed. And fans will be expressing displeasure by not attending.

And we have a new AD who just took over 1 July. And he is likely worthless. He came from a basketball school (Illinois). He gave Moser another year. And is likely going to do nothing with football. We are fricked. This is Blake years. Blake had some great talent but failed as a HC. And Brent is an exact clone of him.

Its been since 90’s to see it this bad. Fans just don’t care anymore because they witnessed Brent doing nothing when action needed taken. He washed his hands of any offensive involvement and fans are washing hands if supporting him.

Its over. Just a matter of how it all ends to write the final chapter.

When Ole Miss comes to Norman in two weeks, OU will be staring down the barrel of 3 straight home losses for the first time since – you guessed it! – the John Blake era. 1997.

We are going to get blown out again. Defense has stopped caring. I just heard OU only has 3 rushing touchdown on the year and 2 of those were against Utep.

Here is what is bothersome about the entire thing.

Jim Nagy was pinning posts all off-season.

Brent said we were working on the running game.

We hired a top of the line RB coach.

Gabe and Teddy said they were seeing it at practice and this was his best roster.

There was TRUE belief in the building.

This is the product?

It's truly baffling and i know there are people who will act like they knew all along this would be the case, but the truth is they gambled just like those of us who believed.

Lest you forget, @PickSixPreviews a nationally respected and objective journalist, picked Oklahoma to be in the SEC Title game. Off of his own merits, no one coerced him, no one paid him.

There is deep seated anger from Sooner Nation. And there should be.

If we get blown out a couple of more times, Venables is probably gone.

Florida to go with the QB who beat Texas.

1. Turnovers prone (INT every 30 pass attempts)

2. Takes what’s easy (high completion rate with low yards per attempt)

3. Can be sped up with pressure and won’t hit the home run on you if he escapes.

——

Jones has thrown for 579 yards, 4 TDs and 3 INTs over five games this season.

Jones started on the road at Texas, beating the Longhorns 27-24. He threw for 155 yards and two touchdowns

looks like the FL kid does a version of the awkward, inaccurate, "jump pass" instead of setting his feet to throw, hmm where have we seen that ...
