Obviously, he is mechanically flawed like JM and not deserving of support. Fans will bury him because of his mechanics. Unless of course, he hits the pass and then, he is brilliant being able to improvise and throw from multiple arm angles, like Mahommes.
This just shows that fans pick everything apart, but all that really matters is winning. Unfortunately, JM has not been abe to do that. The throw JM made v MSU while rolling to his left was an athleticly difficult toss. Wish JM could do that a lot more, but it is not hard to see his potential.
I hope we can play at least two QBs this week and shut down the noise in the swamp.

I’m excited to see the offense and how they respond. Jason has everything stacked against him too.
Injured roster
Senior QB who can’t see field
Bench QBs who saw no meaningful time
On the road
In the Swamp
Night game
No time to install new offense
First time college playcaller
So to me if we can just move the ball it’ll be a win. I’m not looking to win game but want to see some positive plays and decision making.

I bet DMC is happy. Arbuckle hated running the ball. I would be livid as a RB coach seeing how awful it was. Credit to him staying quiet.

This sucks. I was pumped to see someone else get snaps. Hoping its just to start game since it is a tough venue. After a series mayve?

Well I hope its just to get the game going so Whitt isn’t fed to wolves off the bat. I hope Mateer can go one series without a turnover.
I have to trust Jason knowing his background and football pedigree. He has a reason and it may be wise to let Mateer take the brunt of crazy liquored up fans to start game. We’ll see. This is an audition.
I just know I’m tired of Mateer and so is entire fanbase. Jason likely knows that too, so he must have reasons. Unless he is being forced but that would be a different story.
