I never participate in the wave, but sometimes I guess it is somewhat amusing. 6th inning of a meh baseball game that needs some life injected into it, the wave can serve a small purpose.

Also don't want it to get faded from being in the elements too much. It usually reposes on the wall of my garage.
Maintenance guy came by the other day and quipped that "at least it wasn't a Mizzou" hood cover. beaker fan, apparently.
He barely escaped with his life.
