We're due to get snow for the next few days in the Bluegrass. Brutal temps for the last couple of days down to 5° have gotten the ground ready for snow accumulation.
So far, though, we've had a mild Winter. Can't really complain.

According to Entergy Arkansas, most of the outages were in Independence County with more than 11,000 without power. Around noon, Entergy reported about 200 customers at Calico Rock and about 100 customers at Batesville without power.
Well Entergy knows who the most important people are in the state, NWA and LR. So they do not need to hurry up, yall can build a fire in some trash cans and dwi
I kid because I care

A main transmission line fault between the Norfork Dam and the Independence Steam Electric Station in Newark left thousands of residents waking up to no power this morning and for some — no heat with temperatures plunging below freezing.
The fault occurred at approximately 1 a.m. in Calico Rock, according to Flave Carpenter, customer service manager for Entergy Arkansas Inc. Carpenter said Entergy is reconstructing the line in various places and because of the cold temperatures, the line “drew up” and caused a fault.

I bet if you ask Rummy, Chicken, Fred, or Circus they could send you some of their spare hamsters and a wheel to get your power back.

The system bringing you snow looks like it's going to dump a couple of feet of snow over DC per models. Of course, the models haven't exactly excelled this winter with the El Nino pattern taking hold.
