Do you know what you did while you were drunk? Would you have done the same thing sober?

How did it cost my body? If anything the positive stress relief makes that a wash. I'm a fairly healthy adult and I don't drink every night or even every week.

I've only ever been so drunk I didn't know what I was doing once and that was over a decade ago. On this occasion I absolutely knew what I was doing.

If anything relationships were improved that night because me and my friends/family got to sit around, tell stories, and laugh until it hurt.

I can promise you my dignity is still intact.

And yes I would've done the same thing sober, but the drinking enhanced the experience IMO.

Contrary to your belief, not everyone who gets drunk gets so drunk that they lose control of their faculties.

beejon, it's sounds to me like you were just a shitty drunk. sorry bout that. i, on the other hand, drink about a fifth every two days and i certainly have a good time with family and friends while doing it. yes....there is times when i get shitfaced but, so does my wife. and boy oh boy do we get nasty afterwards.

anyway, i've always said that an alcoholic is judged by the way he/she acts when they were drinking and not by how much they drink. so, in your case, it seems that you just weren't a very good drunk. no worries. some aren't.

First, excessive alcohol consumption is proven over and over to cause health problems. That's not even debatable. For one to get drunk, one must drink excessively.

You believe, apparently, that you must become someone else in order to have improved relationships with others and to become someone else, the person you're not when you're sober, you must drink until drunkenness. And you don't see a problem with that, assuming that's the reason you get drunk.

I'm not sure if you are married and have children, but would you encourage your children to also drink to the point of drunkenness? Do you think they would need that in order to enjoy themselves with others?

There is no such thing as a 'good drunk' my friend. Sadly, you believe you need drunkenness to enjoy life but it will end up costing you your life.

Fine... I smoke because I live in a world where 0.5% of the people are as intelligent as I am. It's hard to deal with an average population intelligence 2 standard deviations below mine. If I couldn't smoke I'd rage on the ignorance that exudes from this planet and its people. Not sorry for partying, and for the record my dad was a preacher so your moral high ground makes me lol. So tell me why I shouldn't consume cannabis and cannabis related products... and don't try me with smoking is bad for health, because you clearly don't have to smoke it to get its effects.

Well, according to standardized tests, my IQ is over two SD above the mean as well.... and I tend to enjoy cannibis .

Drinking doesn't turn you in to someone else. You're an idiot.

Given that the mean is incredibly low, I wouldn't be too proud of that.

Do you know what the standard deviation is on an IQ test? Being 2 above is immediately putting you in the "Superior Intelligence" range. Nothing to be proud of there, though.

That being said, when I used to wait tables, the average intelligence of the person I was dealing with on a daily basis was shocking, to say the least.

I know that those that are truly intelligent don't give two fricks enough to care. In college whenever people would talk about all the hours the came in with because of AP credits I would laugh and smile, mine was always higher, and most of the time getting 5s on both physics exams and not having to take either in college was enough to make people immediately know how much smarter I was than them... but I never spit it out. Because IQ is only one kind of intelligence, and I promise you it is nothing to brag about.

You do realize that you're telling me how smart you are while you're telling me to not brag (which I wasn't doing anyways).
