Skip Bayless is great at his job. He was a great writer in Dallas. I find it funny how people complain about Bayless when he is doing exactly what he wants you to do.

The worst two in my opinion are Lupica and Ryan. Those guys truly believe they are the story.

Bill Conlin and Whitlock are great at their jobs also.

Skip should thank his lucky stars SMU got popped when he was in Dallas. It's why he's even notable.

He's terrible on TV though. I don't give a damn how good of a writer he was.

Belle he's doing what they want him to do and he's good at it. His job is to make you have an opinion and then go back to see whatever he's said next

The multiple threads on this site daily prove it

I dunno about all the Skip-hate, particularly when nobody mentions Stephen A. Smith in the same sentence. They can both be unbearable or both be... not great, but not bad, either. Both seem to manufacture emotional responses to inconsequential stories, which gets old pretty quick.

I can't compare them to Finebaum because I haven't listened to him much.

Meh. Doesn't make him any less terrible. Or ESPN for facilitating it.

I'm not a fan.

It's easier to list who I am a fan of these days on ESPN. SVP and Jay Bilas is about it.

Paul is great at what he does. Skip is ok. I don't care for either of them.

I'm not a fan of most sports writers that are on TV a lot. They've let their skills erode.

Bomani Jones is comical but not informative. Bryan Burwell was good before he left the Post.

Finnebaum is a giant homer and his opinions can be found on any homer message board.

While skip trolls every fan base with falsehoods he represents as facts.

Finebaum is a master troll. He says outrageous things that have enough truth in them to enrage the fanbase he is trolling. Amazingly some fanbases are convinced he is totally sincere in his opinions and don't realize they are being played like a fiddle. Finebaum was an incredibly good investigative journalist and writer in his early days and still has tons of contacts so he knows of what he speaks on the off the field/court behind the scenes issues.

I love listening to people who say Finebaum is a giant homer. Especially A&M fans, who have probably listened for at most the past two years.

He used to go after Bama during the dark days. Dude knows how to do his job and do his job well. There's a reason the SEC Network paid big bucks to get him.

Exactly. Finebaum has been on the radio for nearly 20 years and it's hilarious to hear clueless fans act like he has always sucked off Bama. He was absolutely brutal towards Alabama during the Dubose and Shula years.
