When it comes to making the Baseball Hall of Fame, which numbers should mean the most?

Is Chris Sale making a case for himself for the HOF? He's making his 10th All-Star game.

I know of a guy with a career consisting of 2165 Runs, 4256 Hits, 2314 RBI’s, 17 All Star appearances, nearly 200 Stolen Bases, and a lifetime Batting Average of .303 in the Major League…that still hasn’t managed to get voted in with those kind of stats & credentials.
