I think this is the most logical course of action. Have an honest and open conversation with Rick and let him know the past is the past and you are in a committed relationship now. Explain to Rick that while you used to give Carla deep bonings and oral pleasures on the reg that resulted in multiple orgasms in a single sexual session he should understand that you want to be there to celebrate a good friend’s exchange of vows. Let him know that your presence is a sign of your loyalty and support and that you certainly won’t be thinking of the time you bent her over and plowed her while pulling her long hair behind the alley of the local 7-11.

I don’t blame him for not wanting you there. But still having it at your place? I’d tell him to stop being a cheap arse and pay for another place.
