Regardless it turned out badly. It's not just the President's fault though the legislative branch has been a disaster my entire life.
Also the Beirut bombings were so terrible I agree that a larger response was warranted.

Not as badly, as if the Cold War hadn't ended. Reagan, despite some faults, was a pretty dang good President, imo. The country now, feels like it did in the 70's. Divided, not a lot of hope for the future. Obama has doubled down on Jimmy Carter's failure and there's a lot of folks that loathe the U.S. Inside and out of the U.S.

Well yeah 
the country has been radically divided for years and the dissemination of social media makes it seem worse than it actually is. If we became more insular(not happening but I'm waxing idealist here) we could fix a lot of what divides us. If we could focus on robust domestic economic growth alone we could recover the middle class.

First step that needs to happen, doesn't even involve Gov't really. The MSM, needs to return to actual reporting and leave their politics out of it. The biases that is spewed is a large part of the problem. If both sides were held as accountable, as the other, a lot of shite would stop.
