What are you questioning?
Other than your poor reading comprehension I see no issue.

I am going above and beyond and giving up things for up to 2 years. I am starting with Ole Miss bowl games.

I think I am going to go the opposite way. I'm going to get back into daily prayer like I should. So I guess adding instead of taking away.

I see that as a sacrifice of time and much more useful than what I am doing actually.

Never understood the people who give up booze with St Pattys Day falling in the Lenten season.

I've been doing this since the first of the year, with a few slip ups here and there. It's pretty easy to stick to once you get used to it. Take it a step further and cut down your carbs as well. It's amazing how much better I feel. I've limited my carbs to around 40g per day, mostly from eliminating sweets and bread from my diet.
You're going to have intense sweet cravings a few days into it, but they'll pass.

I gave up caffeine last year, so this year I'm giving up Potatoe chips, carbonated soda, and in a surprise twist take up jogging. Used to be able to run 5 miles a day 2 years ago, but I stopped after an injury. Hopefully I can get back to at least to 3 miles a day by Easter.
Not gonna be easy.
Not gonna be easy.

Plan on using a tangerine or strawberries and banana to combat that
The carbs will be easy dropping breads and only using croutons every 3rd day
Bananas and oranges will be key I think
Protein I'll have to figure out probably a diced ham turkey pieces with boiled egg whites.
