From NC, school in SC and countless times there.

Favorite now is NY especially NYC.
Maybe I'll get bored of it, who knows but right now 4 years in and I love it.

haven't been to Cali, doing Napa/SF in a couple months so we'll see.

Really enjoyed Phoenix/Scottsdale.

And I love Boston.

Did that about 5 years ago, loved it. Loved San Fran, drove from there to Napa was a great time. Went to Muir Woods- I am not that much of an outdoorsy gal but I felt like a little kid in a fairy tale there- just absolutely gorgeous and would recommend.

Re op: Overall I've enjoyed most states I've been to- but I really dug the whole vibe in South Dakota. I felt like I could really breathe there and the people were very cool too.

I live in NYC.
From familiar people I've talked to it isn't any different.

Just don't go to the bad areas (which I don't here)

ETA; I've actually been told it's more pleasant.

Washington. Its just gorgeous with the lakes and the mountains. When its time for me to pass I plan to wander its wilderness until bigfoot tears me limb from limb. It doesn't have to be big foot, I'll settle for any sasquatch really.

Boston has the best restaurants. Anybody that disagrees can go suck a lemon.

Well my favorite state isn't a state. Washington, DC is a great place.

As for actual states... I hate to shock people but its probably a tossup between Mississippi, Louisiana, and South Carolina. Missouri might get in that group as well.

Florida, Virginia, and Illinois both land in the "nice but with real pain in the arse issues".

Agree on Florida and Virginia but tell me one good thing about Illinois. A single one.

Chicago is pretty great. I have some family in the central part of the state, and it's pretty mundane.

I've lived in Louisiana long enough to consider it "my state" I guess...so being raised in Florida and having all my family in Texas, it would be one of those.

My girlfriend is from there and we go up quite often. Every time I have a blast. Northern Wisconsin is one of the prettiest places I’ve ever been
