I am the only Megalodon left, and lurk in said depths. Catch me wallowing in the blackness of the Marianas Trench. You could be here, you know.

It's a well known fact that the depths of the oceans are less explored than the outer reaches of space.
Well that's just not true.

Ask any seaman or even serious fisherman and they always have stories of unexplainable shite. I am usually 50 mile in guy and I have a few situations were there really is no rational explanation. We know a lot more about the moon than we do the ocean

I have seen great hammerhead over 26 foot long years ago. Watched it for 5 minutes. The helicopter pilot even positioned the shadow of the copter right next to it so we can see exactly how big the shark was. Shadow was over 25 feet shark was bigger. It was 1983

I have read every page of this thread, and I'm fascinated. I'm not one to go looking for things I can't explain, but I also have a mind that's open enough to accept possibilities.
For example, if I can accept the presence of angels, why couldn't I believe there may be ghosts? Why would I believe that humans are the only intelligent life form in this galaxy, let alone the infinity of space? And why wouldn't those life forms be curious enough to explore and keep tabs on us if they could? Why would I believe our scientists are so thorough that they've catalogued every species of animal on the planet?
I absolutely believe there are things in the deep depths of the ocean that would scare us to death. And that other life forms have been found - there's a reason no one gets into Area 51. I also think the government knows WAY more than we do, and I'm OK with that to an extent. Why terrify ourselves unnecessarily, especially when there's nothing we can do to change things?
Great thread.

I definitely believe we could have something as large as a Megalodon deep in our oceans somewhere. but as the saying goes something that large would have to have a large food source wouldn't it? maybe there is also gigantic Krill
if you wanna see something scary look up a picture of something called a Giant Sea Louse remember the itsy bitsy Pillbug you squashed well a Giant Sea Louse a Giant Sea Louse is pill bugs distant cousin a Giant Sea Louse can grow up to a foot long and yes they are carnivorous now if the Ocean can be home to something that scary who says a Megalodon or even Kraken can't possibly be hiding out somewhere deep down in the oceans

If, and I’m a skeptic, there are aliens amongst us, or however you to phrase it, and our govt knows it, they’ll never admit it. It would replace abortion as the third rail of politics, and you can bet it would take less than 24 hrs to go political.
How long have you known, why didn’t you tell us, what are you doing about it, we need more funding to counter the threat, they come in peace, I not trusting some fricking space asian.

It would come out as a 3:00 a.m. tweet by President Trump. That man tweets about everything.

This has been the subject of heated debate among our leaders for quite some time now. It's a full on sociological conundrum
The solution is to manufacture a threat to the Earth that Earth citizens feel is a serious enough threat that they emplore the Governments of the world to join forces to squash the alien invaders.
Then the Government has the excuse of, "we couldn't tell you because it would cause a panic, duh".
Project Blue beam. Coming to skies and cellphones near you, date: TBD
