That's false. It's a little over half.

Serious question for Aggies... How many women are in the corps of cadets?

Quite a few. Obviously, I met my wife in the Corps, but females have enjoyed a growing presence, especially within the past couple of decades.

The Corps Commander this year is a female. Second female commander in a row, I believe.

Yes.

And sheep pussy.

For real though.

On the day I graduated in 1999 (A-Whoop), at the graduation ceremony, 43 cadets, in full, regulation U.S. Military Uniform for each of their respective branches, took their commissions and were sworn in on the spot, right in front of their graduating class to a standing ovation of grateful class members. Made me damn proud.

Some of the sharpest, square-arse people I have ever met were members of the Corps. We're talking future top-level military leadership. Stormin' Norman level badasses of serious intellect and manner.

BUT...

Unfortunately for my beloved University and the good name of the Corp of Cadets, for every Schwarzkopf-esque cadet, there are 4-5 idiots...complete senseless morons who were somehow able to get into A&M because of book smarts (or some shite), but who are complete jackasses.

Don't get me wrong. The majority are the good Ags in the Corps that are good people who will go on to have great military careers or go on to lead very productive civilian lives. The idiots (like the sword-waving dumbshit at the SMU game in the 80s, or the one who threw horse shite at the disco-dancing, village people, longhorn band, or the dead-dog rapists) are in the extreme minority. There's just a 4:1 ratio of idiots to national leaders, which is probably the case anywhere you go.

When we non-regs want to rile up the CTs, this little quote does the trick:

"Every institution of higher learning has within the student body an unfortunate element the less enlightened individuals, or 'special people.' At Texas A&M University, we put those individuals in uniform, so they can be readily identified and swiftly corrected as needed."

The CTs on here are gonna hate me and downvote the shite out of this. (I still love you CTs)

No downvotes or hate.

However, you must have had an August or December graduation, because my commissioning (May 2000) had 78 Ensigns and Lieutenants receive their bars. The Commandant was the THIRD highest ranking individual on campus that day (behind the future VCSA and LTG Howze)

It was a uniform drill from hell:

0900 Graduation (Midnights)
1300 Commissioning (Class A's - the green ones)
1600 Final Review (Class B Summers)

In hindsight, I should have just walked to Final Review wearing my Army Uniform, because my underclassmen didn't think I was marching final review and didn't draw a drum for me. AGBQ00 was the Drum Commander, so I blame him.

A&M typically has exchange programs with other Senior military colleges, as well as, a foreign military cadet program.

August.

I had already started grad school for a few weeks and had to return to A&M to graduate. It was a crazy year. Then, bonfire collapsed and the things have never seemed the same.

Yep, that's EXACTLY what I did. The 16+ years of Army service, three Iraq deployments, one Afghanistan deployment, 15 months in Korea, 30 months in Germany, NTC, JRTC, Hohenfels, and Grafenwoehr rotations NEVER happened.

Randolph Duke just outed his alter on here.

You wasted your time with that effort. We've already established that the only schools directly affiliated with DoD are the service academies.

Hey there, Randy Duke.

Get us an unredacted copy of that Aggsessed letter you got from the DoD, would you? I don't believe it's real with the redaction.
