Can you imagine the shitshow if we tried to write a new constitution though?

The idea of states calling for a new constitutional convention scares the shite out of people in Washington. Not only could new amendments be added without approval from the federal government but every existing amendment would be in jeopardy of not being ratified and therefore excluded from the new constitution.

No government is perfect but monarchy is the most successful throughout history. Democracy doesn't last forever.

I don't know who it was but someone historically famous said that democracy was a shitty arse government, but it was better than all the rest.

I paraphrase, of course.

A correctly functioning Federal System (PERIOD)

...we do not have one anymore.

Too much power is afforded to the National Govt, under our current-day system.

The smallest government is the ideal. The more I get to decide for myself, the better.

Winston Churchill.

He also said the best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter. I find that to be extremely accurate.

It's funny no one mentioned central banking.

A government free to create its currency debt free would be nice.

As it is now, our currency is loaned to us from a private bank pretending to be a government entity. This private bank issues money as debt as a means of control. We could choose to create money in the treasury with no interest or debt attached.

The only two presidents to do this were shot in the head.

Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on dinner. (quote from some famous guy).

The system our founding fathers designed was brilliant. It would be great if we would return to the government created by the Constitution rather than the consolidation of power in DC. We are currently getting fricked.

But you don't really understand why or how you're getting fricked. And that is a big deal.

There was a good documentary on Neflix streaming I watched recently that explained the situation fairly well. I wish I could remember the name.

So, if you want to know more about it, watch every documentary on Netflix and stop when you get to that one.

Honestly it's not the government as a whole.. It's the career politicians.. If u were able to limit the terms they serve we would not have the corruption that's goin on.. The house representative has to vote once with the way his or her district votes if the item does not pass they vote by their own agenda

Also after they leave Washington they still get a salary until their death
LINK

Now I know they are employees of the state but what about the other employees.. They don't get a quarter of what they get but are charged with the day to day operations

Career politicians are definitely part of the problem.

But unfortunately it's just a useless notion that some people latch onto.

Understanding central banking and it's effects on a nation trumps issues like career politicians 1 million fold.

Small changes can cause huge impacts.. I don't think it's any one problem but we gotta start some where.. IMO and feel free to correct me up nothing is going to change in the banking section of the government.. Nothing.. But start small and dream big.. I don't know where to start but something's gotta give.. We are broke.. Have not had a budget in years.. And we're still giving money out like we can't make enough
