Hey I'm not the Mac person. Mac people should know that rather than interrupting class

I do too, and used to build my PCs, but honestly it got to a point where I got tired of trying to figure out why a driver wouldn't work or wondering if the new RAM stick was enough for some game, but now the clock speed is off... and just wanted something that worked reliably when I turned it on.
I still like to mess around with different devices and experiment with operating systems and ROMs, but don't customize hardware anymore.

Hell yeah man. Long gone are the days (for me) of building your PC and tinkering around with small screwdrivers and a soldering iron

That's another thing I've learned — my hands and fat sausage fingers were not made for small, modern foreign electronics, and computer cases have a lot of sharp edges inside.
I can't work on anything like that these days without at least scraping a chunk of skin off.

Get a bigger case so you have more room to work or dream big and build your own case
Call it a mega tower or somethig

You genuinely think that's what a Hoosier looks like?
Come on man, you know we wear a destroyed baseball hat with a colts logo and stumble out of the gas station with a new pack of camels to the >15 year old car while speaking eloquently about how our day is going

Anything from China is cheap and crap. Bought some of these baby's (turned Red China made) and got gashed every time I used it.

Boomer Generation - gear heads souping up cars
Next Generation - tech heads souping up computers
This Generation - follow others with no concept of souping up anything

I love windows operating systems other than windows 10 *spits* . The Dells etc are easier to work with or at least what I have the most experience with. But.... I'm sticking with Mac. Macs like wearing a virus proof titanium rubber when wading through the occasional non blurred Asian porn sites and Cheeses and Harrys blind links which could all land you at the same place first mentioned.

Cheese that computer looks like a toaster oven with a fancy keyboard menu and video screen.

One of these is not like the other.
I hope I have a rep for eccentric but not bad.
That was the first "laptop" I remember owning / using. It was probably at least 20 pounds but would not shock me if it weighed double or triple. It had an 8088 processor and that version was orange as the IBm version was green. It had dual 51/4 floppies which was smaller than the old 8 inch before. Modem in there ran at between 150 to 300 baud.
We called it "the knee breaker" because of the weight.

I took a computer class in HS and I believe the model we had was the Radio Shack TRS-80.
Wasn't much we could do with them back then or I didn't get much out of it.

Oh I did learn I didnt receive the gift to be a programmer.

Things have come a long way.
