I like to watch tv, love my family, and worry about the future.

Those are the most race-neutral things I do, in case anyone was wondering.

Why do people in LA have to quit work for half the week before mardi gras day. It is impossible to be productive in New Orleans for a full week. Lazy frickers are really killing me.

I know, it is nice. I am just trying to knock out a report this afternoon so I can take off all day tomorrow and I can't get any peeps to return my calls.

I really hate this internship. its like the office but with a boring arse boss, no weird guy to mess with, and no people under the age of 40. I am the only person did not attend some sort of liberal arts school

oh i am headed to new orleans saturday. Thats the perks of Jackson. 3 and a half hours away from nola, 3 hours away from memphis, birmingham is not to far away…I can see tons of concerts since those 3 places are big concert venues.

When did Birmingham become a big concert venue? Most "big concerts" bypass us and go to Atlanta (unless it's Country music...they come here).

Yeah...if you like Country music. There's a couple every year that's decent (and of course there's crawfish boil, but they're starting to bring in more country artists).

What Birmingham needs to bring back is City Stages, but I doubt that'll ever happen

Is birmingham being affected by the jackson plague? By that I mean white flight. I was at the bbva compass bowl 2 years ago and the city was under prepared and legion field is pathetic

White flight started during the 60's. People fled to the suburbs because they were afraid the Birmingham City Schools would be closed due to segregation. It hit it's peak in the 70's.
