I bought a house once and went to the closing. When I got to the lawyer office there was like 5 extra people in the room with all this extra paperwork.

Story is, an hour before the closing the owner blew his brains out in the house. So the realtor mobilizes lawyers and cleaners, and all this stuff. They get a death certificate and all these power of attorney documents. They then give me all these indemnification agreements to sign.

Short Story: they clean him up and repaint the room while I'm having coffee in the office. We sign all the docs and I own the house like 20 mins later than planned. I wait one day, and go over there with my buddy who is an episcoal priest. He says a blessing, and we drink some wine.

It's all good. I got a ton of arse in that house. Best house I ever had

There was a house in Trussville that had a double murder and suicide a few yrs ago. Stayed on the market for a couple yrs. Met the realtor who finally sold it, and said it was wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy below market. Nobody would touch it.

Police found one body in the main house, one in the guest house, and one in a car by the garage. All three victims had gunshot wounds

I would call the police and have them analize those stains. You might have a cold case file of an unsolved killing.

I wouldn't sweat it. I read somewhere once that like 3 out of 5 houses has had someone die in it. Most of us die in our homes.
