The daiquiri shop next to Sea and Breeze has excellent breakfast. And high chairs that are clean. Sounds weird.... but it's the go-to breakfast spot by the pier. Not even fricking with you.

Is the little restaurant run by the guy from Chicago still there?
It's been many years, but for a hole in the wall in lace, it was awesome - one of the better breakfast places I've ever been
Is that the Daquiri place you are talking about?

Wet Willies I think is the daiquiri shop, its a legit daiquiri kooolaid place, with 19 daq spinners, the last place you'd expect to have a full beakfast open early with a cook in the back frying eggs, bacon, hash browns etc

The Breakfast Place for breakfast (if that's not obvious enough, it's amazing)
Good/decent restaurants by the pier: Fannies, Spanky's, Sting Rays
If you are looking for a nicer restaurant go to Sundae Cafe. It's a hole in the wall attached to a gas station but is one of the best restaurants in Savannah.
The bars are nothing special but are usually a fun time on weekends. Benny's is usually a good time and if nothing else you'll see a bunch of white trash morons sing karaoke. Rock House is more of a DJ/dance bar. Doc's is small but has a good loyal, local crowd. Can't remember anything about the others.
Have fun OP. Let us know if you have any specific questions.

Staying at Pelicans landing, which is really close.

What is the best seafood place?
Crab Shack sounds like a tourist trap.
What is the best fishmonger nearby?
Any local breweries nearby?

Italics, not true.
Bold, true.
Across the street at Rock House you'll have a better time, they also have Karaoke but you're less likely to get stabbed.

Everything on Tybee is a tourist trap, unless you like pizza. Locals tend to hang out at the pizza places.
People will recommend Social Club. I don't, I wasn't that impressed, it was every bit of tourist trap as anywhere else, and the service was awful, and food marginal.
Honestly, Sting Rays and Fannies are my two favorite spots, although they are tourist traps... like everywhere else.
If you want a non-tourist trap place to have a nice dinner, go into Savannah. Just don't drive drunk back to Tybee. Get an uber.
Also, locals have told me to go to Huc A Poo's but I've never gone, but it has come recommended from locals I trust.

The asian mafia group that has like 5 different asian food joints with different names but all the same ownership. Tangerine is one of them but I think they have another different named place out by Tybee.

North beach grill is good and social can be. But yes...its a tourist place, SO. AJs on the back river has an awesome view. If you don't want overpriced food and want FINE good you'll have to go into savannah

I haven't been to AJ's in years but I remember it being pretty solid. I still think Sundae Cafe is the best place nearby to get great seafood without the touristy bs.

I saw a review on Crab Shack that described it as South of the Border on Tybee island. That is what I would like to avoid along with chains. However if it has good food, I am down.

If you like southern comfort food I suggest Sweet Potatoes outside of Savannah. He had another place that served island food but not sure if he still has it.

AJ's for fried salty seafood baskets and coors light with great view. If you go for anything else you'll be dissappoint. Very casual but I concur with the others saying AJs

Just got back from there. It is the Breakfast Club and it was pretty good. Be prepared to stand in line outside. Got there at 10 and waited 30 minutes to be seated.
Crab Shack wasn't too bad, but they were not particularly good with crawfish. The shrimp were better. Someone told me the ribs were pretty good, but I didn't try them, so I can't confirm.

I can vouch for AJ's and Huc a Poo's. Both solid.
