That effer took a turn for the cray cray this morning.

After figuring out there was no way they were getting a 2nd Degree Murder charge with their case they change it to 3rd Degree murder, Manslaughter, and possible child abuse right before the closing arguments.

And the BSC judge allows it

It's almost as if all of the elected officials involved are somehow playing to the emotions of the electorate. Who ever would have thunk it?

I think we all knew from the beginning it wasn't likely to be 2nd degree murder. I thought from the beginning that it was manslaughter. I think someone who knew Florida law said at the beginning that the jury would likely be able to consider lesser charges. I'm not surprised by this at all.

I think the judge said they could consider manslaughter but not 3rd degree murder. Child abuse?

That's not uncommon. I'm 98.69% sure Louisiana allows for the same.

That's probably fair. I haven't followed the trial really, but GZ followed the guy and brought a gun to the party and shot an unarmed teenager. I see an argument for self defense, but he put himself in a bad situation.

It's not murder 2 though.

The Judge didn't allow the 3rd Degree murder charge or the child abuse charge. I knew she wouldn't. They will still charge him with manslaughter though.
