Yes. I'm really more of a bourbon drinker, but enjoy a good stout.

Yeah, Decatur all the way, brick store, twains, Leon's, for brews

Mac McGhees for whiskey.

Cool place also is victory, small sandwiches come out quick and jack and coke slushies.

But just bar hop and drink everywhere

How far is Stone Mountain from ATL? Gonna be in Atlanta for a few nights when we play Boise.

It's in the metro, not that far a drive depending on where you are. I always enjoyed my trips there, it's a great place.

Thanks again for all the suggestions. I'll start looking for venues around the Square, and see if anything stands out.

And I promise no egging.

Agree 100%.

Food around Emory - Bad Dog Taqueria is in Emory Village (directly across from the main gate to the school). Also there are several restaurants in Emory Point (Clifton Road, down closer to the CDC). I know there is a Tin Lizzy's (Mexican), a burger place, Which Wich (sandwich place) and a Bonefish Grill there. Emory Point is walking distance if you stay at the Emory Conference Center hotel.

If you want a taste of true "southern" food, check out Mary Mac's on Ponce (maybe 20-30 minutes from Emory). Great fried chicken, pork chops and sides. Unfortunately there aren't any real bbq places in town.

The Varsity (North Avenue at 75/85) is an Atlanta tradition. Food isn't healthy, and may not be the best in the world, but a chili steak and a frosted orange are still darn good.

Depends on where you are staying, and remember that in Atlanta, how far means two completely different things when considering time or distance. The park is probably less than 15 miles from the heart of downtown. However, in a heavy afternoon rush hour it can be 90 minutes or more. Depending on what you want to do, you can spend the better part of the day at the park.

Ok.

They are best friends and wanted to go to the best school that which they both got accepted. Being Jewish didn't really enter into the decision since we are nonpracticing secular.
