The Lebonese were almost totally Christian ... when I was there it was the most beautiful country in the middle east .... but the radical Muslims came in and destroyed it trying to get at Israel.

I'm sitting ony back deck right now talking to a buddy of mine in Riahd .... let me get back to you on that when I can get to one of my other devices with a keyboard so that I do not have to peck it out while trying to hold an intelligent conversation with one of my old troops.

As the only Jewish poster here, go away. Who is Scofield and leave us alone.

In the Old Testament God made a pact with Abraham that if he worshiped God he would make him the father to a great nation.
God called Moses to lead His poeple out of Egypt.
The Jews were Gods chosen poeple. They still are.
As far as the Temple, if the Jews wanted to they could push the Dome Of the Rock out of the way and have the Temple rebuilt in under two weeks. This may happen after the next big war Israel is involved in.
As far as when Jesus returns only God knows the day.
There is a chance that he returns this year around the time of the last blood moon this fall. I would love to see that.
Remember the Jews are Gods chosen poeple to this day and until the end of time.

Does it bother anyone else about the whole "chosen people" thing with god? Why the frick is a Jew chosen over me or an African? That's just one reason I hate god. He can suck my dick.

There will come a time when you can tell Him exactly how you feel.

God's word is very inclusive of all who come to Him, including Jews, people from Africa, and even radical Muslims. It's part of what sets Christianity apart from "religions". It's not a religion at all.

Dammit .... sometimes, when I'm back on my laptop and I read how some of my replies appear after autocorrect has autocorrected them, it just pisses me off.
To answer your question, no, I do not believe that in the least.
I do believe in a worldwide globalist conspiracy insomuch as Jews control Hollywood, the MSM and the banks, among other things. And through these devices they do exert enormous influence over the rest of the world.
I can also say, without one iota of reservation, that Jews are usually all about business. They neither love you or hate you for the most part ... they just wanna make money and control things within their control.
Anyways, to your point about the relationship between Zionist Israelis and Evangelical Christians, (which I am assuming is the Christian population to which this thread has suddenly focused upon) .... the relationship between Evangelical Christians and and Israelis is not two-way relationship.
I'm reminded of a poll I read last year I believe it was, where 2000/2000 American/Israeli Jews and 2000/2000 American/Israeli Evangelical Christians were polled as to their basic feelings about the other.
70+ % of the Jews, on both sides of the water, felt that Evangelical Christians were bigoted, racist, unintelligent rednecks that were not to be trusted. Whereas ...
70+ % of the Evangelical Christians polled believed Zionist Jews, but really Jews of all orders, to be our close friends and allies, "people of their word who believe in the same causes as do Evangelical Christians. Peace, capitalism, two-parent family units._ "Worth fighting for - worth supporting financially and otherwise."
Now, to me, that shows a serious disconnect from reality for Evangelical Christians.
But I think I know why this fantasy exists.
Israel, unbeknownst to most, is really an Arab country - Jews are Arabs that practice a different religion ... they've got the same blood though, and the same mindset. Everyone is out to get them. (Again, I am saying this about both Jews and Arabs.)
In addition, most Americans are sorely unaware of exactly how the Jewish state of Israel came into existence and who the people were that comprised the first and second Zionist Aliyah(s) to Israel between 1890 and 1913. For that matter most Americans would probably be shocked to learn the origin of most Jewish immigrants into America around the same time ... particularly from around 1905-1907 or so.
I took the time to note these things because it is during the same period that Schofield penned his own notes in the margins of a bible which later became known as The Schofield Reference Bible ... not The Schofield Bible.
Once one realizes what the headlines were during the time of Schofield's epiphanies one begins to understand his slanted point of view at the time.
Lastly, for the time being, Schofield stole the idea for his notated work from O.J. Nave and Schofield's work, these days especially, have ironically been marginalized by both the left and the right, the believers and non-believers, while Nave's Topical has remained well-respected and regularly referred-to by those in the modern ministry.
Edited: spelling
ETA: I was looking for the poll I referred to above, and I'll eventually find it but for the moment I stumbled across this which, in a few paragraphs, explains what Evangelical Christian Pastors are cramming-down the throats of their followers ....
https://www.jpost.com/Christian-News/While-threats-to-Israel-surge-so-does-Christian-Zionism-says-CUFIs-Hagee-380145
This is the issue. There is a quiet civil war happening right now between Evangelical Christians and the so-called middle is, as with everything else, trying to marginalize the other two sides.
But I disagree that the Schofield notes hold very little influence over any of the modern parties involved.
quote:
Popular radio talk show host and author Dennis Prager made a similar point on Sunday, telling the crowd at Cornerstone Church that no matter who is being persecuted, understanding the battle against evil is about “understanding the Jews’ role.”
“How people regard Israel is a litmus test of their whole values system,” Prager said. “Do they resent that which works, that which is healthy, that which is productive?… Evil focuses on the Jews. Period. Jew-haters are the world’s evil group. There are no wonderful people who happen to hate Jews. Those who hate Jews are announcing, is if they wore a button, ‘Hello, I’m evil.’ That is the way it is. … The Jews carry the burden of God in history. Even Jewish atheists, even Jews who hate being Jews, even Jews who hate Israel—the anti-Semite doesn’t distinguish. Zionists went into gas chambers, anti-Zionists went into gas chambers, Orthodox Jews went into gas chambers, and atheist Jews went into gas chambers. They don’t care—it’s a Jew. The Jew is the embodiment and representation of God on this earth, whether they like it or not.”
Prager described a “civil war” within Christendom between left-wing groups like Presbyterian Church USA, which last July approved a boycott of Israel at its biennial general assembly, and right-wing elements whose replacement theology argues that Jews are no longer God’s chosen people. But CUFI is “the Christian center,” Prager told the crowd.
“There’s nothing wrong with being right-wing, but you’re not,” he said. “In Christendom, you are truly the center. Because there is a right wing that you are fighting just as much [as the left]. … this is Christians united not just for Israel, but for the integrity—‘I’ is for integrity—of Christianity. You are fighting a fight within and without, and God bless you for doing so, because we need you to win. If you lose, it’s over, for the U.S. and for much of the world.”

I used to believe this, along with dispensationalism until I actually read the Bible instead of just listening to some preachers interpretation of the Bible.
Romans 9 really opened my eyes on the "Jews" being God's "chosen people:"
But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For not all who are descended from Israel belong to Israel, and not all are children of Abraham because they are his offspring, but “Through Isaac shall your offspring be named.” This means that it is not the children of the flesh who are the children of God, but the children of the promise are counted as offspring.
