Oh, no doubt, but I know I'll be on the deck watching as it rolls in, while my wife will have the dog and cat in closet.

yep, I got out of class early and was thinking the same thing as I was walking to the truck. You can just feel it in the air.

Strange feeling. My dogs didn't want to go out this morning.

I don't envy y'all. Most of our tornadoes involve a hurricane down in these parts. You're already battened down and ready. Be smart and be safe.

Also the "feeling" you have is called humidity and wind. Turns out...generally correlates to tornadoes in your part of the world. It's what we call "normal" here.

Can't rule anything out. I personally believe the focus to be to your north, but I'm no professional and don't have a degree. Take my speculation for it's worth.

Again, the watch word is awareness.

Most tornados spin counterclockwise, so traveling northeast you could get an idea of how your house will implode and where the safest area inside may be depending on the orientation of your home..

Dogs and cats are normally a good indicator, when it gets bad around here they throw a fit to get inside, when its just going to storm they are like "let me the frick outside", lol.

Motherfrickin' physics!

Also heads up Landmass bros. Severe T'Storm traveling generally towards north of Winona with it's tail sitting to the NE of Greenville. Tornado possible in this cell. At current heading should split Oxford and Tupelo.

There's a second cell to the south with what might be a hook starting to form on the lead edge. It's currently crossing into Mississippi a little north of Vicksburg. The timing is looking right, this could be the first salvo.

TWC reporting rotation in middle Tennessee, about to cross I40. Just west of Pleasant hill, and almost perfectly between Nashville and Knoxville.

Yeah, the "tornado feeling" is more than humidity and wind - I grew up further south and it is different.

I don't know if it's the barometric pressure or what it is but the sky looks off, there is actually very little wind, and there is almost a smell to it.

I never felt it till I moved to Tuscaloosa for college and then when I moved up here.

That's how it was here all day and it normally is when Tornados are possible.

You can tell when its over as the sky turns a deep blue color and it smells "clean".
