Bentonville is good but a few of those places have jumped the shark so to speak. Not a fan of The Hive and Preacher's Son was ok, but not for what they charge. Between the prices and everyone trying to outdo each other with pretentious sounding ingredients, it's a bit much.

Bentonville's median household income is like a nice suburb in a big city, but the COL is cheaper and the commutes are 10 minutes. Those places charge a lot because they can, and there's still a wait most nights at Preacher's Son.

The split that has taken place is that Fayetteville used to be "THE" dining city in the region (along with everything else fun) and Bentonville has swiped that title and it ain't coming back. They're trying to be a corporate-version of Boulder or some shite, but Fayetteville will always be the cooler town to just hang out in. Fayetteville has never taken pretense seriously. It's laidback and we like it that way.
