The problem is cops never being held accountable. Thinking that they shouldn't carry is going full potato.

Until cops are held more accountable for their actions against unarmed civilians, nothing will change. Criminal and civil charges should apply anything a cop kills an unarmed civilian.

They are fixing to have a state wide warrant round up here. I suggest answering your door with your hands over your head and loudly vocalizing that you are unarmed.

As long as it's for the children.

I'm ever so confident that I'm quite a bit more intelligent than you. But that may be damning myself with faint praise.

A few updates:

quote:

According to the officer’s personnel file with EPD, she was employed with Acworth police for more than 10 years from 2002 to 2012, before being terminated “for exhausting medical leave.”

At the time of her dismissal from Acworth Police Department, according to her application, she was the crimes against children detective. She was hired with EPD in June 2013. Her file also states she was investigated in 2003 for conduct unbecoming and was investigated again in 2009 for shooting at the suspect of a home invasion. New info on shooter.

GBI holds line on "gun."

quote:

In a statement released Sunday, GBI spokesperson Sherry Lang stated Roupe “opened the door with a handgun pointed at the officer.” When asked Wednesday as to the type of handgun Roupe was holding, Lang said, “I do not [know].”

Lol. Sure it was a gun. Has no idea the type. Guarantee if it was an actual gun, we would know the brand, caliber and color.

Yeah. Everything in evidence has to be disclosed during an on going investigation. You two are just a couple of 's aren't you?

You two are certainly acting like lack of disclosure is damming.

According to news reports, police will not answer whether a gun was recovered from the scene.

They could kill any speculation by simply reporting that "a .38 was recovered from the scene." They haven't. Which leads me to believe that in 20 to 30 days, they'll have a press release that they'll submit with zero fanfare to the press in a written statement which talks about a "horrible accident," and a "justifiable shooting" which involved an "subject who appeared to be armed and brandishing the weapon in a threatening fashion" and in the footnotes it will note it was a hair dryer.

I would bet lots of money at Ladbrokes that this is the case.
