Awesome. Think he's hilarious.

Weird. He plays a character. Is he gonna be the satirical character?
Jon Stewart would've been better, not his weird sidekick

Stephen Colbert didn't all of a sudden become funny a few years ago. Plus he's smart as shite and is great at interviewing. I think it's great.
Stewart would have been great too but he's too old.

He's 2 years older than Colbert

he is too overtly political and I don't think he would be able to tone it down.
Colbert is political too, but much more subtle and he has a much broader appeal.

Terrible. Colbert Report was the most brilliant show on TV. Can't imagine him doing his character on the Late Show.

Haha, not sure if they're not trolling but some people are praising the move as it replaces the liberal Letterman with the conservative Colbert.

Letterman is awful, so anything would be an upgrade.

And he's from an SEC state, South Carolina.
Letterman is from Indiana. Never liked him.

uhmm...what? You do know that Colbert's conservative shtick is an act, right? He purposefully portraits a conservative stereotype to make fun of conservatives.

Did you not read his whole post? He was talking about people trolling by saying that.

Ohh the great irony of a post designed to make someone else look like an idiot that actually makes yourself look like an idiot

yep, you got me
mea culpa. That actually happens surprisingly little on this board, tbh

What?!?!?!? Sir, the correct response was GFY, DIAF
As far as Colbert this kind of sucks, I really like his character on the report and hate to see that show go. I wonder what they'll do with that time slot

Will he still do the Colbert Report? If not, I don't like the move.
