quote:
The 32 member clubs of the National Football League have reaffirmed their strong commitment to work alongside our players to strengthen our communities and advance social justice. The unique platform that we have created is unprecedented in its scope, and will provide extraordinary resources in support of programs to promote positive social change in our communities.
The membership also strongly believes that:
1. All team and league personnel on the field shall stand and show respect for the flag and the Anthem.
2. The Game Operations Manual will be revised to remove the requirement that all players be on the field for the Anthem.
3. Personnel who choose not to stand for the Anthem may stay in the locker room or in a similar location off the field until after the Anthem has been performed.
4.A club will be fined by the League if its personnel are on the field and do not stand and show respect for the flag and the Anthem.
5. Each club may develop its own work rules, consistent with the above principles, regarding its personnel who do not stand and show respect for the flag and the Anthem.
6. The Commissioner will impose appropriate discipline on league personnel who do not stand and show respect for the flag and the Anthem.?

God damn. Just stop playing the fricking song.

People will bitch about this, but I have no problem with it.
Either show respect to this country or remain out of sight until it's time to play the game.

Why does he hate America?

I'm not sure. I'm puzzled by his remark.

Theres absolutely no reason to play the song. The only person who's there to hear the song is the person singing it. It makes no sense to play the song before two teams from the same damn country play each other. The players are ready to go. Get them on the field and start the game.

We play the song to honor America. You gotta problem with honoring America?

I don't. More indifferent than anything.

What a terrific non-answer.

It's complete pandering and a virtue signaling jerk off for obese chickenhawk larpers.
TYFYS
NP, would your Son or Daughter be interested in enlisting?
Ohhhhh no, they need to go to college.
If your idea of patriotism or supporting the military is standing for the National Anthem at an NFL game then you're a piece of shite.
I definitely won't presume to speak for all veterans or service members, there are millions of us, but I don't find kneeling offensive or disrespectful in any way and nobody in my social circle from the military does either. I genuinely don't give a frick. If they want to kneel then that's within their rights, if their bosses want to say that they can't on the clock then that's also within their rights, but the idea that this was disrespectful to the military somehow is fricking ridiculous. The only people I saw really pushing that were obese vietnam-dodging Boomers who share shitty conservative memes on Facebook about libtards. frick them.

I did not swear an oath to the national anthem or the flag when I joined the army. I don't find people exercising their 1st Amendment right, guaranteed by the Constitution which I did swear an oath to defend, disrespectful to the military in the least.

FWIW, you had me right here, this was the moment when I was almost rustled. Then you kept going, and blew it
