So I just found out about the new series on CBS all access about the goat captain Picard. Anybody see it? No teasers please.

We have CBS All Access on Amazon so I will likely check it out. Been a Star Trek fan literally from the beginning. And yes, I am old. hahaa

So I just watched episode one. It's all they have until Thursday when episode two comes out. The first one gives you a picture of the plot. I think it is gonna be very good. The preview after the episode ended was very good and I can't wait to see the rest. Was hoping to binge watch but the series just started so I will just have to settle for watching once per week. Admiral Picard is on point even as a very old man.

This is what I had hoped for.
Throughout Next Generation, there were a number of corrupt hierarchy type themes with admirals and captains as bad guys. Here is an opportunity for Picard to show the universe what an excellent admiral can do.

Picard is gay in real life. The Shat would never touch another dude’s wang

Waiting til next weekend when I can get to my dad's house to watch with him
I'm hyped though, I've been waiting for this. Loved the Discovery series. Just wish they didn't force you to subscribe to CBS All-Access for it. In every other country outside the US you can watch on Netflix
Although, now that they have multiple original star trek series, and the new Twilight Zone they did, it's not quite as bad as when Discovery first came out and that was literally the only reason to subscribe

I too liked discovery and can't wait till season three starts sometime this year. I literally only subscribed to CBS all access to watch just that and renewed this morning when I saw an ad about Picard scroll along my roku screen. What's this about a new twilight zone? Is that on CBS or Netflix?

Huh? Patrick Stewart is 79 and is married to 41 year old singer/songwriter Sunny Ozell.

In2014 it was reported he was gay, then retracted. The asian guy from star trek is gay.

It's on CBS All Access
It came out last spring and the episodes were coming out the same day as season 2 of Discovery was releasing their episodes. I think it premiered April Fool's Day
First episode was kind of "meh" tbh. Very predictable.
The second episode stars Adam Scott, who played Ben Wyatt on Parks & Rec, and is a really good modern update to the classic William Shatner episode where he's on the plane and seeing the gremlin on the wing.
The third episode is where the series really comes into it's own, and every episode besides that first one is a hit for me. One other is a little boring/ slow but still well written.
A couple other episodes are anchored by actors you'll recognize
Episode 1 stars Kumail Nanjiani who's name you probably don't recognize, but you'll definitely know his face. Was on Silicon Valley if you watched that. He does good in his role, I just think it was a poorly written episode.
Episode 4 is a Christmas episode with Steven Yeun who played Glenn on the Walking Dead
Episode stars John Cho, AKA Harold from Harold and Kumar, and Sulu from the JJ Abrams Star Trek movies
Seth Rogen plays himself in a small role in the season finale which is a beautifully done tribute to the original Rod Serling series

But his best friend is Ian McKellen who is gay, and obviously you can't be friends with gay people without being gay yourself, because Mississippi logic
