I had a husky once. Will never have another one, unless I have a LOT of property where it can run to its heart's content. WAY too much energy for a dog in town.

A good, well trained GSD is a great dog I'll give you that. I'm big on the black and sable or all black colored ones.

I love them. They're so smart. I live in an apartment though, and they're far too smart for that.

Absolutely. Beautiful dogs, but, too much for just the average inside pet. I also encourage my friends in the south not to get them. Down here, Dogs with such thick coats find their way to me pretty often in the summer after they develop heat stroke

That's why I don't want one. They're so pretty but the hot and humid climate of the south isn't good for them in the summer. Hell, I wouldn't want an English Bulldog.

Yeah, she was my ex's dog. We lived in St. Louis. There was a fenced yard, but she could jump over it. She was miserable in the summer, like you said, and he never trained her. Bad situation all the way around.

Beautiful dog, though. I've always thought I'd like to have an Irish setter.

He is still lethargic. He is just laying down. We found a vet that is open on Sundays that isn't an expensive arse emergency vet.

I'm so sleepy but I'm sitting here wide awake. I can't fall asleep with him sick. I've got so much shite on my mind right now.

Have a wolf. She goes swimming a lot. Thick coat or not, it's undercoat is still less insulated than most labs. Their coat also helps to keep them cool.

I don't listen to vets on many things. Nutrition, breed differences, and their greedy use of money instead of educating the public on a simple case like a dog eating chocolate. Truth is most vets know very little on dog nutrition. When it comes to ailments and anatomy they are quit logical, but treatment is usually highly questionable.

I live in the middle of Hotlanta. Dogs aren't allowed in the complex pool .

Coastie, pale gums are usually a blood circulation issue. Probably should get bloodwork done if he's not dehydrated.

He is a little better. He was sick most of the night. He did eat a little and he has been drinking. I think he ate something that he shouldn't have.

My oldest border collie ate something she shouldn't have the other day and laid around looking miserable for a day and a half but she's fine today. Coastie I hope your beagle does the same

Sounds delicious. They are normally very lean, so once tenderized I bet it is quite tasty.
