I was wondering how receptive this board would be to a thread of this nature and thought what the hell, give it a go.

This thread will (hopefully) detail where many years of UFO and paranormal research has led me, and the destination isn't somewhere I was hoping to end up. Some of this stuff is genuinely spooky / downright terrifying.

Skinwalker Ranch is located outside of Ballard, Utah and is infamous for its paranormal activity. The name is derived from Navajo legends involving a shapeshifting demon of sorts. The stories are innumerable and range from people witnessing what appears to be a tear in the fabric of space opening a hole to another world through which orange orbs pour out of to even more inexplicable things such as a wearwolf that chases people into their home and then stands outside leaning against a tree having a cigarette.

Here is the wiki. LINK

When I first learned of this place I thought it was nothing more than a scary story until someone I know and trust went out there for a camping excursion and was shaken to his core with an experience of his own. To make a long story short the presence there pretended to be a cop. But the cop car was found high atop a rocky ridge with no road and in an area that is nearly too inhospitable for foot traffic. The presence manifested itself as red and blue flashing lights, a siren, and inaudible words garbled through a megaphone.

So upon taking a closer look at all the information, a crazy story starts to emerge. At some point Robert Bigelow gets involved with this place (more on him later). He is a very wealthy aerospace engineer type and he developed the NDIS (National Discovery Institute of Science) with the purpose of conducting scientific studies of the UFO phenomenon. One of the head guys in his organization is a Mr. Jacque Vallee. Initially they were studying the cases of cattle mutilation in the area (oh yeah, there's that too) and end up buying up the ranch and all adjoining properties they can in order to give this thing a crack themselves. They spent years on the property and in the end Jacque Vallee (probably the most noted and acclaimed scientist to ever dedicate time to UFOlogy) ends up championing the interdimensional hypothesis over the extraterrestrial hypothesis.

Since the property has been bought by Bigelow, visitors are no longer allowed on the site, which is a shame because the place is probably the most active paranormal location on this entire planet.

Mr. Bigelow has been in the news again lately too. If you guys remember seeing the recent stories about our Government releasing video of a Naval pilot's encounter with a UFO and subsequent disclosure of a secret branch within the Government dedicated to studying the UFO phenomenon, it was Bigelow who now claims to have an entire hangar of recovered UFO material, including "impossible" metal alloys and many rods of Bob Lazar's famed element 115 which he claims is the fuel source for these things.

So there it is. At the end of the day, the UFOs, the legitimate ones that aren't Government craft, seem to manifest themselves at these paranormal vortex type points from other dimensions, and yet, are capable of being real enough in our world to be recovered as if they were a crashed plane.

I loved the book hunt for the skinwalker as a teen. It's about all the crazy stuff going on at that place. I'm not sure if I believe all the stuff in the book, but Bob Bigelow bought that place for a reason.

Yep.
You know, if you guys have ever seen the movie Contact, Robert Bigelow would be the real life version of the eccentric billionaire that has enough money and power that he literally lives in outer space.

Other publications leave me skeptical.

Skepticism is certainly understandable in this one. I find it to be very intriguing, but unfortunately since Bigelow bought up the land and made everyone in his organization sign NDAs in regards to their work out there, we may never know.
