Sure, but to blame it all on human behavior is pretty dumb.

It's a highly politicized issue where the data has been contorted to score points for one side or the other. Climate change is occurring, unlike what many conservative politicians say. However, unlike what many liberals claim, it is not happening nearly as rapidly as their "data" seems to indicate and the evidence of man being the primary dictator of the change is minimal. An objective view of the pure science shows that the climate is warming, but to claim with absolution why at this point is not a well grounded proposition.

It's a shame too, because it gives all of the anti-science minions ammo with which to use against other aspects of science which do not fit this description but that they still "disagree" with.

An accurate OP title would have been some scientists predict climate change will result in more rain for Britain.

so true

where the data has been contorted
So false

Interesting, given that both the climate change deniers and the fullblown "We're gonna die" treehuggers use the same sources of "data" to support their respective positions.

Not really.

Everyone individually driving around in oil using, pollution making machines. Slaving away for small bits of relaxation, limited connection to the planet, millions starving, and so on.. isn't 'living the life', it's really not an opinion kind of thing.

Disclaimer for the zero summers - I just read a chapter while sitting on my back porch in the wonderful evening sun. In that moment I was 'living the life', I'm sure the broadness of this concept isn't going to resonate, not sure why I'm even explaining it.

I love my life. Sure I work hard, but I get a lot of satisfaction out of what I do. I get to come home every day knowing I made at least some small difference in the lives of others.

I have a great wife, a great family, my health, etc. I love what I have, and only an exceedingly arrogant mind could believe that one cannot "live the life" in the context of the society you despise so much. It most certainly is an opinion.

What you just said is exactly what I said in my 'disclaimer'.

shite went over your head, not sure how, a guy like Delta I'd understand but you don't have an excuse.

You cant make a single post without being condescending, can you? It is simply beyond the scope of your abilities.

You made an absolute statement, followed by a trivial disclaimer about one small aspect of life and then claimed the disclaimer was all-encompassing after being refuted. In order for your "disclaimer" to say what you have now claimed it says would invalidate your initial absolute statement.

Essentially, you are now saying that the traditional American lifestyle sucks absolutely except when it doesnt, and that exception only applies to what you say it applies to. Its both illogical and incredibly arrogant.

Nope, you didn't get it. Not entirely your fault, though.

I'll admit that I'm condescending at times, sometimes more often than others, but you do realize that you're at least equally as guilty, right?

Guilty? Absolutely, but certainly not equally so. Your level of arrogance borders on a delusional personal disorder.
