Ah there's that good old fashioned folksy racism we've all come to know and loathe.

You are probably old enough now to know the truth.

All old people start hoarding food when their mind starts to go.

Your grandparents were not in good mental health if your mom and aunt were sneaking in to throw food away.

Be prepared to offer this service to your parents in the not-too-distant future.

My wife and I have already started.

Pro-Tip.... as soon as you start to notice alot of expired food around their house around the holidays or whenever you visit, don't blow it off. Do your best to get them to a neurologist. Alot of mental problems that old people have can be slowed down with early detection and medication.

ETA- they might seem completely lucid in conversation... but lots of expired food is a dead giveaway. The only exception would be if they ALWAYS had old expired food, in which case they have a completely different type of mental problem that also needs to be treated.

I'd take dementia over this form of shitty humor any day.

Funny extension to Stonehog's study. Same researcher found that customers racially discriminate against servers when tipping

Just had a poor experience at a seafood restaurant I've had several excellent experiences at...server was totally inattentive to the point it started really aggravating me and affecting our meal. Our check was $140 and she had very few tables...I left her $12 and wrote "inattentive service" on the receipt...
I still feel guilty about the poor tip even though she did not deserve more.

And there that's modern assumption of speaking in absolutes, for everyone else, that always signals bullshite.

No one speaks for everyone KSG ... no one, not even you and especially not me.

Most people find my form of amalgamated cold hard truth and folksy humor, senile chic and minus the bullshite political correctness of course, refreshing.

Truth seems to be terribly difficult for some to handle these days.

Again, google it for yourself or use the link I proved in the post above.
