I have been researching robotic vacuums. Anyone have one that think is worth the money? I have been looking at some models for around 200-300 dollars. We have a small dog that sheds some and want to keep the dander under control. House is mostly hard wood except bedrooms.

TIA

We have an irobot, bought it maybe 5 years ago for $250 or so. It does well. Had to buy a new battery last year for it, was like $40.

I'm sure newer ones have more features. We use ours on hardwood and it does a decent job. Doesn't replace other sweeping, but does help with dog hair.

If you have pets it is a lifesaver.

It doesn't replace floor cleaning all together, but it definitely keeps it more neat in the meantime, and allows you to space out the frequency.

Is this thread “code language” for one of those sexbots?

How do you keep your pets from destroying the robit?

Only if you’re in to that kind of thing.

Ive had a Roomba for two years and it's been fantastic. I don't really use the old standup vac very often any more, I just have the robot run twice a week on a schedule.

I don't know. There's something about them I just don't trust.

Damn, if these Roombas could make sammiches and give blow jobs it would really make you think.

Ecovac is less expensive and I have had no problems in the last two years. I liked the ecovac because it was under 200 bucks and has a lower profile so that it will fit under all my furniture by less than 1/2in. Highly recommend. You will be amazed at how quickly the bin fills up, regardless of how much you clean. On a negative note...dont buy an ecovac for the additional feature of wet scrubbing..that is useless.

Apparently the new Shark Robot vac is good and much cheaper than the Roombas

Shark R85 Youtube Review

This damn thread made me do some research and after I saw the new ones work with a cell phone app. Makes me want to buy another one.

I've already got smart lighting and thermostat... why wouldn't I feel the burning desire to tell the robot vac to get its lazy arse to work while I'm sitting on the can at work?
