Random question: how much to pay per day for dog sitting?

Basically my grandparents are having to go out of town for 5 days and are having their old house keeper stay at the house with their very well behaved black lab while they're gone and we don't have a clue what to pay her per day.
It's a very nice house in a nicer area and the dog is well behaved so not like it's gonna be a huge pain in the arse or anything
TIA

Will the person be staying there 24/7?

Yes
She can go out for errands/food or whatever she might want to do for a couple hours during the day though

I think a Kennel would charge about 30 to 35 per day. Is it a kid or family member that is watching the place?

Check that - 25 per day

Not knowing all the specifics - if the person is eating your food and watching your TV, I'd offer them 35 per day for the 24/7 care.
Never done it personally though. Sorry I can't be more help

A kid gets $20/day. A housekeeper probably is closer to $40.

Naw but it's a lady who we have known for a long time, like I said she was their house keeper forever and still would be but she's gotten older in years and had to retire
We were thinking ~$200 for the 5 days
ETA: to be clear she won't be performing any housekeeping duties, strictly sitting the dog and the dog is low maintenance

How fricking fat is he?

Is she expected to have sex with the animal? Because that adds about $10 per day to the prevailing market rates.

I've used a website called dogvacay.com. It basically allows people who will allow you to drop if your dog, and they can set whatever price they want. Check out it and see what's the going rate in your area, and pay the high end since you know her.

Thanks
From what I can gather $40/day is pretty fair

$30 a day based on 3 ~30-40 minute visits a day for my sitter. Mine is a retired truck driver and this is all she does 24/7 365. She covers the entire neighborhood and it wouldn't surprise me if she pulled in $35k a year.
