The University of Arkansas has a chancellor and they have a nice residence on campus.
It is a nice building. I'd rate some of the other schools higher but you definitely would not be ashamed to live there.

I like most of these, but I really like how South Carolina’s looks. It would be perfect in Charleston.

I like Kentucky's.
Auburn's would be awesome if they'd cut those awful crepe myrtles down in front of it.
And I hate that fountain/cup thing in front of Alabama's. So tacky.

This and a guard shack across the street next to the Library are the only two buildings left on Campus that were not burned by the Union Army on the way to Vicksburg.
That's not true. 4 buildings survived and still stand (President's Mansion, Little Round House, Gorgas, Old Observatory), plus a few slaves quarters.

I think the Little Round House was what he was referring to.
When it was a Confederate campus, soldiers were posted at all 4 windows to watch for enemies in all directions.
First time I'm hearing of this. Where?

President's Mansion, Little Round House, Gorgas House, and the observatory(Maxwell Hall) were the only buildings spared that are still standing today. The slave quarters that survived were later razed. Not sure when.

They were around the President's Mansion.

I thought one or two were preserved, but I could be wrong.

It is, I was referring to him saying only 2 buildings survived.

Maybe so. Story I was told was 3 or 4 survived. 2 were razed when they built Morgan Hall, and the others were near the President's Mansion. There are still some structures behind the President's Mansion, so perhaps those are the preserved ones.

They are. There's ~4 small buildings behind the President's Mansion. At least one or two of them were slave quarters.

LSU's president doesn't live in the honors college. He has a house on East Lake Shore Dr, on the LSU Lakes with a bunch of beautiful oaks in front.
Here's a crappy old picture:

Nah, CofC has a pre-Revolutionary war (circa 1770, same year the college was founded) house as our president’s house.
