Did people forget how awful he was at the Nets? It was not like Daly left him a wrecked ship either.
Bill Belichick was 34-44 in his 4 years with the Browns. Coaches grow up and change ya know.
FWIW I'm not advocating for Cal to be our new coach. I honestly don't know how I would feel about it.

IMO it only happens if LeBron is a Laker.

Are we gonna talk about the Cal2LA rumors?
I think if he was in better health than he is, it's a possibility if Lebron ended up there. His hip is seven kinds of fricked up right now and he's almost certain to need surgery in the off-season.
BTW, ESPN reported that Randle has declared but Randle has come out and said he hasn't yet. This is like the worst kept secret ever.

Yup, ain't that some shite?
After we waxed that arse, the tagline was all about LeBron bitching about his fricking sleeves.
THIS is what we're talking about with national NBA coverage. Beyond just having the same teams thrust into the spotlight repeatedly even when they suck, when a golden child loses, the media makes excuses for them. It's ridiculous.

They made like 16 or 17 3's tonight, but Lebron didn't get any help guys
They made sure to include some Post-game LeBron bitching after the 3 Grizzlies highlights in the 4th.
I mean Zbo tied a franchise record for Field goals in the 1st quarter, but hey Lebron had 2 dunks.

If it sounds like I'm whining, I am.
Promoting big markets and big superstars is what grew the NBA and basketball in general from a niche sport into a global phenomenon.
But it's high time to adopt a new marketing strategy in the post-Jordan era. The quality of the game itself is the best it's EVER been, but the lay person is robbed of appreciating how good it is across the board because of slanted, agenda/narrative-driven coverage.
Not saying not to show the monster dunks, but also highlight the passing of the Spurs, or the defensive prowess of the Grizzlies, and so on. That's not too much to ask.

It is easily my biggest beef with the game today and why you can't go a week without someone on TD spouting off some nonsense about how the NBA is terrible now,
Like the Grizzlies for example are a team people fall in love with when we are on the big stage for once. Hell Zach Lowe named his "most fun to watch" team after Marc Gasol. It is amazing to check out twitter when we play on ESPN against a big name opponent because you get to see a bunch of tweets from guys that normally don't watch the Grizz talk about guys like Gasol, Zbo, and Conley.
Sort of in the back of my mind if the Grizzlies can't win the Finals I want the Spurs or OKC to win.
The Spurs because it puts their brand of basketball in the type of spotlight it deserves, but rarely receives. I saw where y'all are like 52-10 with Kawhi in the lineup, which is insane. (Please beat the Mavs today, so we can get back to 7 and avoid you a holes)
My reasoning for OKC is because I feel like Kevin Durant could be the Super star the NBA needs right now. Say he wins the MVP this year and leads them to a championship could you imagine the story lines? LeBron obviously has his obsessive fans, but a lot of the casual basketball fans can't stand the guy. I think Durant could steal those fans, because it is nearly impossible to dislike the guy.

I mean this should have been a sports center highlight.

It's beyond ridiculous, tbh. Starting to get to the point where I'm just snarky in response, because it's obvious whoever is saying it is wilfully ignorant.

Yeah, it's a shame that you have to wait to get any sort of exposure/accolades until you beat a big name opponent. Then folks act like you came out of nowhere, when you've been doing your thing all along

Trust me, I want nothing more. Don't feel like grinding with y'all for another playoff series, but would LOVE to see y'all upset OKC (shut up, a man can dream

My ONLY reason for disliking him is his being a fricking sip

Hey we went 7 with them when they still had Harden. It isn't that crazy.

Valid reasoning IMO
