Article about former Spurs assistant coach Brett Brown (now Philly 76ers HC) talking about the Spurs' team chemistry, and about Patty Mills' advent in particular:

quote:

“I have a special interest in Patty Mills,” Brown said of San Antonio’s reserve point guard. “He started out there as a towel-swinger that never played. Then he became a towel-swinger that got in the game a little bit. Now he’s grown into the system and he’s won some games for them, and then he goes back to the bench and swings that same towel."

So me and the lady friend went to the Rockets/Pacers game at Toyota Friday night, and we were the lucky winners of the State Farm free seat upgrade giveaway. So I got to see The Beard go ape shite on Indiana from Row 14 as opposed to Row 17 of the third deck

Just wanted to tell someone, so I figured I would tell all of my basketball e-friends

That's still really cool I never win any in - game contests like that.

I've had really good seats at the Toyota Center before, though. Nice venue

We were on the big screen for like 10 seconds when they announced us as the winners. I know that doesn't sound very long, but when you are having to awkwardly wave to a camera in front of 20,000 people for 10 seconds, it gets really uncomfortable after awhile

She wasn't a big fan of that part of the game, but the seats were well worth it

OKC, you can have the top spot back. Turns out it's not so great after all.....

I didn't know the Grizz originally drafted Kevin Love and traded him on draft night.

Yep traded him for OJ Mayo. I can't remember if it was straight up though

We haven't had the best luck in the draft. Conley is the only guy on the roster who plays significant minutes that we actually drafted

Edit:

quote:

the Grizzlies (27-21), who traded the 6-10 Love to Minnesota along with Brian Cardinal, Jason Collins and Mike Miller in exchange for Greg Buckner, Marko Jaric, Antoine Walker and the draft rights to O. J. Mayo

Well I'm glad we have a new front office

We really fricked up last year hiring D'Antoni instead of Phil.

A three year old would know that.

Well see. The rumor is that he wants to use this knick front office job as a way to get back to LA as a coach/GM. So well see

When Dolan starts pushing him to do something he doesn't want to one too many times, he'll resign.

I just don't see this working for very long unless Dolan backs off significantly.

The only real difference is Hollinger. Wallace is still GM.
