They really do. The casual fan may think they play boring basketball. But they really are a well oiled machine. It is fun to watch

I apologize for my braggadocio last night. Don't usually gloat like that.

Haven't extracted that much satisfaction from a regular season win in a long time, though. Doesn't make up for the Finals, but it felt damn good at any rate to see those crotchety old Spurs defend the at&t center with some pride.

I'm pretty sure after every Rockets win, I'm on this thread with the icon with the hashtag #ClutchCity or some shite like that. So you definitely don't have to apologize to me for boasting in your team

Fair enough. Guess I was just reading through some of my posts with a twinge of self-reproach

I like the team pride in this thread though

Best of luck to y'all down the stretch. Think all the West teams are gonna need it

Tbird did you get out of sorts last night?

The Spurs are still commies and I look forward to their downfall in the playoffs.

Negative.

US Air Force (Ret.) Coach Gregg Popovich (who specialized in anti-soviet intelligence) chuckles at this.

As do I.

So he would know all about being a double agent then. His team makeup is just highly un-american. Plus it is really hard to talk shite to the best coach in the game.

Nah, we in the Great State of Texas (a.k.a., "God's Country," or "The Promised Land") take the concept of the Great American Melting Pot seriously. We also believe in allowing said members to retain their right to practice basketball freedom during international competition, in order to hone their skills abroad against one another before bringing them back to the hallowed soil that is the Alamo City. Hence, the harmony with which, say, a Frenchman (Tony Parker), an Australian (Patty Mills), a Brazilian (Tiago Splitter), an American (Kawhi Leonard), and a citizen from the U.S. Virgin Islands (Tim Duncan) can play, that far outstrips the offerings of most lesser, homogenous squads.

Lebron is a little *itch.

quote:

“I’m not making excuses, but I’m not a big fan of the jerseys,” James told reporters. “Not a big fan of them. I have to figure something out the next time I have to wear the short-sleeved jerseys.”

If anybody ever wonders why the old timers have an issue with Lebron James being the GOAT, it's statements like this.

Your Jersey affected your shooting?

PoundingtheRock RT:

"LeBron could score 60-plus with a broken nose and a mask, but sleeves messed him up. Sleeves. Got it."

LeBron is a TERRIFIC basketball player. Will go down as one of the best all time, if not THE best (he'll be in that company, no doubt in my mind).

But that's a weak arse excuse. Kawhi Leonard, a lowly 3rd year man, hounded him into 19 points on 18 shots.

Guess Kawhi's new nickname is "sleeves"

I saw him messing with the sleeves on the bench last night. weird that they would be required to have them on.

Absolutely. Top 5 in my mind. he could quit now and probably never drop out of the top 10.

But with "my sleeves," jumping to a star ridden team, pretending like the loss to the Mavs was because the Mavs were "supposed to be there and we werent" will never let him be the top.

The Spurs as a team had a difficult shooting night one game they were playing in the sleeves (Christmas Day against the Rockets). Didn't hear any excuses from them about it then, so I don't wanna hear it from LeBron.

Dwayne Wade had the right attitude when he said let's not make it about the sleeves anyway.
