Anyone have one?

Those little ones. Smart animal, don't know about their habits, hygiene, etc.

Wife lost her dog recently and was thinking about a replacement pet. I love dogs, but you can't make a bacon samich when they pass.....jk.

They are really smart and in some ways better than a dog.

But at some point they outgrow their cuteness. 200#hog in the man cave would get old quick.

A few years ago at the UK football Cat Walk a girl had something wrapped in a blanket and was standing next to me. Saw it was a miniature pig. Cute as all get out, and was her pet. She said it was potty trained and all, just like a dog.

Pig in a blanket.

You'll have plenty of bacon when times get hard.

Be aware it's full of disreputable dealers selling full-size piglets as teacups.

The only pig that is bread to stay 'somewhat' small are potbelly. Anyone advertising miniature pigs is being deceptive. The only way to keep those pigs from from not getting to their genetic size is by starving them.

Potbellly pigs will eat more lbs of food than you and your wife will consume in a month, unless you are Bert.

Thanks all for the advice. Think we'll stick with a dog.

One way to get rid of an overgrown pet pig is to dump him or her out in the country.

One showed up near us. Got taken in by a neighbor. Solved several problems. And the neighbor's dogs coats looked a lot more lusterous the next six months.

As dumb as having a damn dog in a purse or wearing a snake as a boa.

Just get me a regular kind of dog and I am good.

My daughter's just had to have one so we got a "mini" pot belly. 9 months later he is gone. He was fun to play with but when he pissed....there isn't anything in the world that smelled worse than that. He was fun to monkey around with though

got my wife a pig for a pet. He now only has 3 legs and people ask why? I tell them we like him so much and we just can't eat him all at one time.

"There really is no such thing as a teacup pig, micro-mini, Juliana, etc.," she tells The Dodo. "Miniature pigs are mini compared to a domestic farm pig that can reach 600-plus pounds. So-called teacups are actually potbellied pigs who are either underfed to stunt their growth or who are sold under false pretenses."Nov 26, 2014

I grew up on a working farm so all the livestock were pets when they were young. When they grew up they became food, recycling and the natural order and all.

Todays pet will be tomorrows bacon!
