Yesterday I did back and chest

Bent over rows 3X12
Lat Pull Downs 3X12
Row Machine 3X12
Seated Cable Rows 3X12

Flat Bench Press 3X8
Incline 3X8
Standing High Cable Flys 3X12 superset with 15 push-ups

No cardio yesterday nor core work

Also forgot to do hyper extensions

Today I plan on doing legs. But I am in a golf tournament on Friday, so I may go light and then play some basketball for cardio depending on if any of the local hooligans are at the park.

I'm in my mid-40's and I still get a six pack around summer. I used to be able to get one through diet and heavy lifting alone, but now I've had to add 20 minutes of cardio pre-workout.

Eating clean and not drinking any alcohol has always been the key for me.

24 minutes of HIIT on the elliptical machine with resistance set at 10 of 20. Last three fast minutes I bumped it to 15/20 and it was killer. Sauna for 10 minutes and back to the office. Starting to really notice a difference in my belt line with pants/shorts and feel better than I have in a while after working out hard. Going to stick to it hard over the next several months until I hit my weight goal and then the lifting will start back up.

This has been a good way to help me keep track of progress.

Fiancé is training for her third marathon aka prepping for Miami bachelorette party

Question- does anyone ever get elbow pain when they do tricep exercises? Noticed last week it was only overhead extensions but it seems to be getting worse. I'm going to lay off heavy weight but curious if anyone else experiences this. It's only my left elbow.

I started the Lee Labrada Lean Body Workout Last week. I'm told its normal, but I can't ever really feel results from my back workouts. I don't know if maybe I'm not doing the workouts correctly or what.

Started at 5am this morning


10 min warm up on elliptical

Chest today

Push up - 3x15
Incline bench - 5x10
Incline fly - 5x10
Overheads = 5x10
Cable press - 5x10
Cable fly - 5x10
Push up till fail


Going for a 25 mile bike ride today after lunch. Got the day open and dont get many chase for a quiet ride in the middle of the day...

Well, 25 turned into 20. Damn hills where I live just get me. Didnt have the energy.

Warm up 10 mins elliptical

Shoulders / Arms

Dumbbell shoulder press - 5x10
Dumbbell shoulder fly - 5x10
Triceps extensions (cabl/rope) - 5x10
Dumbbell lateral raise - 5x10
Upright rows - 5x10
Dumbbell curls - 5x10
Laying down triceps extensions (superset with hammer curl) 5x10
Drop set - Dumbbell curls 35,30,25,20,15,10 - Till fail

I really want to go farther but my leg muscles are terribly sore after Sunday's run. Almost 3 weeks off was horrible for my progress.... But vacation was nice

Those first few days back are the worst, everything is so and stairs feel like the Ninja Warrior course.

Good job on starting back though, where did you go for vacation??

Europe, I took my gear and really wanted to run there but the big cities just weren't safe to run in (traffic) and on the third day I over did it in the countryside trying to run up a mountain and got a shin splint in left leg.

I was gone for a week fishing in a tournament and I'm looking to go back to the gym today. I will be sore for a couple of days.

Was going to lift today but have to opportunity to play a round of golf in this nice weather. Gonna make up for it tomorrow and this weekend though!
