Fyi, Google changes casty to cast so I didn't get an answer. Also, I would Google everything but for some reason I looked for reasonable discussion here instead. I can see that was a mistake so honestly I don't know whether to say frick you to all of you or apologize for starting a shitty thread so I guess I will do both. frick you guys and sorry for asking about acronyms here when I clearly should have just googled the ones I didn't know.

I always thought it was because the emoji is "casting judgment" at you and whoever programmed the commands for the emoticons thought they were being cute by naming it casty (this would've been before the much simpler 'smh' was a thing)
