I wouldn't say we played horribly. Ghana is a dangerous team offensively so they were going to attack from the start. They definitely outplayed us in the midfield and that uasually is the deciding factor. That early goal was huge as it allowed to sit back a little more than we would have otherwise.
We certainly didn't play well though, but well enough to win.

Fairly good as of right now. I think Portugal is a decent team, but they're also missing a bunch of players (one of their best in Pepe).
They're going to be playing fricking angry though.

Yeah Pepe is out with a red card. He's a good player but a huge punk. He's physical and they'll miss that presence. I think Portugal is overrated and I liked our chances even before today. If we can play them to a draw at the least, we should advance unless Ghana somehow beats Germany. We HAVE to do better possessing the ball though.
