Yeah, I'm ready for the retirement of the old guard.

Future looks bright for sure

I mean we made it out of the "Group of Death" even though Altidore got hurt in the first 20 minutes.

What's troubling is that I think the guys on the bench are better than those on the field. I saw way more heart, skill and possession capacity from the bench than I did the older players.

Brave play all around. Howard played one of the best games I've ever seen a player play. Green. Dat killer instinct.

Which is cool, but the athleticism off the bench is what I want to see. There's a clear parity.

Next World Cup is going to be a good one for us.

If there is one type of soccer player I think America can produce well it would be Goal Keepers.

I have no idea why we played so unbelievably conservatively.

We had no outlet and were undermanned in the midfield. Look at the difference when we brought in Wondo and put Dempsey back. Different team. A proper forward would have made all the difference.

Why?

They weren't dicks, just better than us at soccer.

I just want them to win because that means Messi gets to keep playing. More Messi is a good thing.

They beat us. Pretty much the only reason.

I do like that they didnt flop and play injured near as much as I expected towards the end of OT.

We were outclassed, but Howard kept us in the game and Wondo had a golden opportunity to put it in the back of the net in stoppage time and whiffed. That's soccer.

Unlike ghana.

Yeah I did appreciate that. Especially because we were pressing hard down the stretch.

Should have done that all game.

But I think it only happened because they were a bit gassed and just did what we did for the past 90 minutes.
