Robert Horry had a GREAT look at a 3 pointer that would have won game 5 for LA in '03 and put y'all up 3-2 but it rattled out.
quote:if fisher played in boston he would have his jersey retired. he is one of the greatest role players of all time and they retire everyone which is why they have so many retired numbers. he wont in LA just because you have to be on magics, kobes, etc level but he will go down as not only the greatest laker role player of all time, but one of the leagues greatest. time and time again hed come up big in the playoffs. its funny how he and kobe had the weirdest bromance in the NBA. they apparently fought each other all the time when they were rookies but it got to the point were fisher was the only player kobe respected. fisher had the greatest quote of all time "i bet he wishes i made more jumpers, and i wish he passed the ball more"
while the most improbable .4 second shot went in
quote:i only bring it up because my gf went and she is obsessed with tennis. its her shite. her reasoning is "because in tennis, its pure 1 on 1 competition. you vs the other person. thats it. you dont have teammates to bail you out when you screw up"
Did not know that. Sounds like fun (although I don't know shite about tennis). Want to learn to play, though.
i just cant get behind tennis but hockey is awesome. kings lost tonight though

He's definitely up there. shite, even this year he did yeoman duty for OKC. Guy's incredible, and outside of hating him for .4, he seems like a genuinely cool dude

That's actually solid reasoning
I like the opportunity to make teammates better in basketball and the whole concept of being apart of something bigger than yourself aspect of team sports, but to each their own

Y'all still up 2-1. Hit 'em in the mouth in game 4 and put the pressure right back on 'em

eta: what are your thoughts for this WCF

For real, though
Meanwhile, I will be insufferable to be around until tipoff of the Spurs game today  Mrs. Tbird wants to go to church in the morning, but my focus will NOT be on holy things, I'm afraid.

Whoever wins this series will win in 6, is my gut feeling. The first game will tell us a lot about how this series is going to go, IMO. SA has been in a bit of an offensive slump--if we can break out of that, we should be fine.
However, the bread and butter of this series is going to be the battle of the bigs. Splitter and Duncan simply can't allow ZBo and Gasol to have their way around the rim. I'm thinking Pop will use that "swarm" defense we threw against the Lakers, but difference is Memphis has the perimeter players to make us pay if we're overaggressive in defending the paint.
The whole series is going to be a chess match. Probably won't be good for my heart, but I'm more excited for this WCF than I was for SA/OKC last year.

quote:shes probably going to rope me into tennis this summer but right now our thing is bball. one on one 21 is her game. now shes 5'3 an like 107. im 6'5 220. i beat her almost every time
so we're looking to pick up tennis together while we're here in Missouri
quote:i agree. totally went off carter but no give backs
That was some BS at the end if you ask me
quote:we need better passing in our zone. we screw up to many breakouts because of it
y'all still lead the series so gotta put a stranglehold on the thing now.

I warned Mrs. T over and over about what life would be like with me during the playoffs, but this is the first time we've been together and had cable TV. There is no escape from basketball for her, poor girl
She must be made to understand this is serious bidness.
At least she loves the Spurs shirts I got for her, though. Got here a blinged-out Tim Duncan tank top (that looks amazing on her), and a v-neck Spurs shirt that she actually likes. The transformation is happening

She's only 5'2" and like 120, but give her a crack of daylight and I swear she'll splash it like Curry. Used to love hooping with her at the Rec. Guys would sag off her all the time and double me, so I'd just feed her all damn game Felt like Avery Johnson lol.
I thought you said your wife was white once upon a time. So she's like Kyle Korver then?

That's awesome

her whole game is based around her quicness and ability to get to the basket. She can't really shoot so I just sag off and block her shite
Sounds like you memorized the scouting report

You know it's bad when you start marking time by your favorite team's championships/playoff exploits  I can remember exactly what I was doing during multiple Spurs playoff games and title runs.

Where were you the last time a team won the title with only one superstar, not three? ;)
